I adjust them in ETS2 to feel a little "tighter". Getting the steering off-center into a turn takes more wheel input than you might expect as well. Likewise, on-center feel is typically very vague (totally unlike a car) and steering play about the center can be alarming at first, even with good, properly-adjusted steering and alignment. (The worst ones were the armored ones.) Truck steering is very bad about self-centering - in real life you often have to crank the wheel hard to get then thing back on-center quickly after a turn - the wheel will tend to pull in the direction of any turn once it's underway. The settings are derived from the real-life "feel" of the steering of trucks I've driven - typically Class 6 fleet trucks with varying amounts of milage and abuse on them. The above are designed for American trucks. If you want, open your profile's controls.sii file and adjust these values:Ĭonfig_lines: "constant c_ff_enabled 1.000000"Ĭonfig_lines: "constant c_ff_gain 5.000000"Ĭonfig_lines: "constant c_ff_hi_spd 0.760000"Ĭonfig_lines: "constant c_ff_lo_spd 0.250000"Ĭonfig_lines: "constant c_ff_fricton 0.750000"Ĭonfig_lines: "constant c_ff_engine 0.025000"Ĭonfig_lines: "constant c_ff_surface 0.350000"Ĭonfig_lines: "constant c_ff_bumps 1.000000"Ĭonfig_lines: "constant c_ff_collis 0.750000" The steering wheel animation now tracks your actual wheel position regardless of this setting! (This is something that would annoy people into not using this feature when it can really help fine-tine steering performance) Hint: To avoid issues with the center position of the wheel being to "twitchy" where small corrections will send your zig-zagging down the road, bring the Steering Non-Linearity slider to 50%. In ETS2/ATS, be sure to first click the option to reset force feedback settings to default. Centering Spring In Non Force Feeedback Games: Checked.Close and re-open G Hub with the wheel plugged in and powered up this usually makes G Hub get its act together.īase settings in G Hub or LGS for the G29 in ETS2/ATS are: G Hub also sometimes likes to get stuck in "connecting" to the G29 enternally. Sometimes G Hub does better if you delete the auto-detected game entry and just do the process to add it manually to be recognized. In either G Hub or LGS, you must make sure the Logitech software has an entry for the game executable. Can't hurt to go down in order.įirst, if you don't have any other Logitech peripherals or games that require G Hub, uninstall it and go with the older Logitech Gaming software (LGS) instead. I have no idea what all you've tried so far, so here's the generic run-down of things to try. Is there a way to allow me to use the controls of Ghub for my wheel with ATS or am I just going to have to pass on using the wheel till I can get a proper desk setup? I need it lower because with my current desk setup the wheel cannot be properly mounted and with its strength so high turning with it sometimes lifts the board it is mounted to up. With ATS it felt equivalent to 50/100 and after tweaking it felt like 40/100 at best. ![]() With Farmsim, Ghub fully controlled the centering strength and I kept it at 20/100. I have tried adjusting the wheel via Ghub, I have tried ingame setting everything to its lowest setting and disabling it even and while there is a slight change it is not enough. So I wanted to try out my g29 for ATS but no matter what I do I cannot get the centering spring strength/force feedback to go as low as I need it. I was just going to main menu and back into game which kept the game overwriting the settings I had. SOLVED: Turns out you have to turn the force feedback off completely ingame then close the game out 100% and reopen it.
